Townsend Tennessee is a small southern appalachian town that borders the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Townsend area, so far, is not as commercialized and built up as Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg and we hope it will stay that way and keep the "Peaceful Side" peaceful. This area of the Smokies is a very beautiful place in all seasons and is a great place for a honeymoon, romantic weekend getaway or family vacation. There are plenty of activities and things to do in the area, such as horseback riding, swimming, tubing, bike riding, camping, fishing, hiking on 900 miles of trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP) or you can visit Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for a great shopping experience. Plus there are a whole bunch of Smoky Mountain and Townsend festivals planned throughout all seasons as well as plenty of restaurants to dine in. Come on!! Check out Townsend Tennessee.
